Damn it! I’m late! Grr. Last month was San Diego Comic Con, so here’s what we’ve learned! Woo!

  1. Guillermo Del Toro has a new film set in the cold war. Me likey.
  2. Lots of trailers. They all look great. Except Inhumans and Justice League, but I don’t care.
    1. On the note of Justice League, no amount of Whedon is gonna save that train wreck. Moving on.
    2. WHY DID IRON FIST GET ANOTHER SEASON!!?
    3. WHY ARE THEY STILL MAKING DC FILMS THAT AREN’T WONDER WOMAN?!!
    4. FLASHPOINT?! WHAT?! HUH?! WHY!? ….I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS!!
  3. The Doctor’s companion Bill is leaving in the Christmas Special…DAMN IT!!
    1. Also, the DW Christmas special trailer looks AMAZING! THANK YOU! Finally, remembering that having a guy who played the First Doctor ACTOR means you can bring back the First DOCTOR!
  4. Spawn is getting a reboot…k.
  5. The Gifted has nothing to do with the X-Men movies…yay.
  6. Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer) is Janet van Dyn AKA The (Original) Wasp. Nice.
  7. Comic Book based TV Shows continue to be awesome and all have upcoming seasons!
  8. The Fantastic Four are rumoured to be in one of the next Avengers movies…I don’t care. I don’t care about The Fantastic Four. I care about their villains. The only joy this brings me is that it means Doctor Doom and Galactus will appear in the MCU eventually.
    1. Doom is getting his own movie.
  9. Wonder Woman 2 is a thing! WOO!!

Finally, recently one of the stuntwoman for the character Domino in Deadpool 2 was killed in a tragic accident. Rest in peace Joi “SJ” Harris. Did you know she was the first African-American female professional road racer? That’s amazing!

That’s what I got this year. Hopefully I’ll be quicker with the NYCC Quickie in October. SOrry about this. Been going through some transitions, but everything should be settled now. There will be no Summer Movie Thoughts post because it’s a bit late for that, but the Fall one will go up before September. Here’s what I wrote for Wonder Woman before it came out:

“Yeah, I know what I’ve said in the past about the DCEU and how I’m only holding out for this movie instead of saying “Three strikes and you’re out DC!” because this film is about 40 or so years overdue and should have come out in the 70s when Wondy had her own TV show like the Adam West Batman got, but have you seen the early reviews for this? None of the other DCEU films have gotten this much praise this early on and I set my standards really low for Wonder Woman. It had to get a 60% or higher on Rotton Tomatoes for me to go see it (Thor: Dark World AKA The Worst MCU Movie got a 66%. Man of Steel AKA The Highest Rated DCEU Film got a 55%). It currently has over 90% and maintaining. It’s definitely on my watchlist. Thank Hera!”
